Hope for the hopeless

Robins Nest serves vulnerable populations in the most challenging environments on the planet.

How We Started

Shortly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in March 2022, a small group of United States Special Operations veterans and dedicated volunteers assisted in the evacuation and rescue of 150+ orphans from the fast approaching Russian front line and artillery fire. We quickly built a robust network of trusted partners (US and Ukrainian military, paramilitary and logistics teams) to coordinate a multi-stage evacuation. We were able to relocate the orphans to western Ukraine, ultimately sheltering near the Polish boarder.

Driven to continue these rescue efforts, the Robins Nest team was formed to assist in similar humanitarian efforts worldwide. This work is made possible through the commitment of an all-volunteer team which consists of United States Special Operations veterans, Stanford University faculty and alumni, and the support of generous donors.

How We Serve

  • We operate in high risk environments

Robins Nest understands the complexity of high risk, war-torn and non-permissible environments. This is where the greatest needs exist and where our strength and expertise lie. At times that requires our presence “on the ground” and in others circumstance we leverage the partners we have developed over decades of Special Operations work.

  • We meet the most pressing needs

Our support takes many forms. That can be logistics to get people to safe locations or upgrading those locations to meet basic human needs. Our focus, energy, and monetary support is exclusively aimed at improving the human condition regardless of the need.

  • We help the helpless

We ensure the downtrodden, outcast, forgotten and underserved are found, cared for, and loved. In the worst conditions, we will find a way. As Special Operations veterans, we’ve seen first hand the abuses and atrocities committed against the helpless. Our mission is to serve these individuals, get them to a place of relative safety, and work to improve their quality of life.
